Seyed Reza Hosseini

Seyed Reza Hosseini, born in 1976 in Neyshabur, Iran, is a distinguished figure recognized as a painter, researcher, poet, associate professor, and university lecturer, as well as a Full Member of the Iranian Painters Association.

Artistic and Poetic Practice

His sustained artistic pursuits in painting and drawing are characterized by a serious and dedicated approach. His works feature an abstract and metaphorical structure, primarily dedicated to the profound exploration of human experiences and the dimensions of identity. The compositions frequently employ intertwined forms and contrasting colors to effectively articulate concepts such as internal conflict, psychological tensions, and hidden beauties. These artworks purposefully invite the viewer into a contemplative engagement with human emotions and abstract concepts.

In parallel with this visual art creation, Hosseini has also pursued poetic writing. These literary works sometimes resonate with the imagery of his paintings and, at other times, stand independently, serving to express his lived experiences and internal reflections.

Education and Research

Hosseini’s academic path encompassed studies in Graphic Design, Painting, Art Research, and Aesthetics across universities in Iran and Russia. He successfully obtained his Ph.D. in Aesthetics from the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts. His principal research domains are defined along the trajectories of Aesthetics, Contemporary Art, and Iranian-Islamic Art.

Academic Career and Publications

He maintains an active teaching role at prominent universities, including the University of Tehran, Shahed University, Semnan University, and Shiraz University of Art. His academic responsibilities consistently involve supervising Ph.D. dissertations, Master’s theses, and Bachelor’s final projects within the field of painting. Furthermore, he is an ongoing contributor to the academic community through the peer review of scholarly articles for both domestic and international research journals.

To date, Hosseini has published over 60 academic articles in respected journals and presented more than 12 papers at specialized national and international conferences. Research activities—including writing, presentation, and peer review—continue to form a vital and continuous part of his professional trajectory.
